about us
Working with salvage garden + design will be a unique, creative and enriching experience. Our mission is to help you create a vision for your garden and landscape, then bring that vision to life.
We love to bring gardens to life using rescued and recycled materials; even salvaging everyday objects. With a little imagination, transforming these objects into one of a kind garden accessories, can have a personal and fun effect on your garden.
Part of our process is to also help salvage your plantings and beds where we can.

layers
We love to work with color, texture and shape – building the first layer of the garden with foliage, balancing different vibrant colors to form a structure and foundation for the garden.
Leaves, with so many shapes, colors and textures, make for a nice layer. Choices can include: exotic tropicals, bromeliads and native plants. Leaves are always in bloom!
Next, we may layer in flowers – first with flowering shrubs to build the garden structure and then add perennials and / or annuals.
Flower choices will really depend upon how much garden maintenance you want in your life and are wonderful for seasonal color updates
We are a bit different than your average landscaper...think of us as your local neighborhood gardener. We'll design and install the perfect garden for you and your family, going above and beyond to create a garden that you love and love spending time in.
rules are meant to be broken
There are some rules in gardening; choosing the right plants for sunny or shady spots, having the right soil, amending the soil, choosing a garden style that compliments the architecture of your home… but if “rules” prevent you from having a garden that brings you joy, break some of those rules.
We will always encourage you to go with your vision and what makes you happy. A thoughtful garden design can bring that smile AND may pay for itself, adding 10% or more to the value of your home.
